Aeoniums are commly grown as a houseplant in the UK. They are a succulent known as the Tree Houseleek and belong to the Crassulaceae family. They are native to Africa.
Aeonium Arboreum Atropurpureum is native to the Canary Islands. It was filmed in Birmingham Botanical Gardens and was shown in Part 2 of my series which explored the Arid and Mediterranean Houses.
Aeonium Arboreum Zwartkop was also shown in Part 2 of Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Aeonium Canarienses was also shown in Part 2 of Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
