Freya's Tropical Garden is a Youtube channel created by me, Freya, to bring viewers easy to access information about all things related to tropical gardening with a focus on how I grow my own tropical plants in Hampshire, UK. Please subscribe to this channel if you haven't already done so, in order to support it to continue.
Freya's Tropical Garden is currently running series 2 of its magazine show comprising of monthly episodes. Each episode covers a variety of topics including visits to public gardens, plant information and growing tips, product reviews and 'how to' guides as well as an update on the plants that are growing in my own tropical garden. I also run competitions for viewers to win prizes (usually plants or seeds from my garden). Each topic included in the episode will be released as a separate video later in the month to enable easier searches for specific information.
In addition to the monthly episodes I also create 'Plant Profile' video shorts in which a different plant will feature in each video providing growing tips and information in less than one minute. These are helpful for those searching for inspiration as well as those wanting a quick overview of a plant.
I have created this website as an additional resource to enable viewers to find useful information on the many plants and gardening tips provided in my videos, and as a reference to make it easier to find videos on particular topics or about particular plants. I hope you will find the information on this page useful.

On Facebook, Twitter and X I share a 'Flower of the Day' photo, featuring flowers growing either in my garden or the public gardens that I visit. There are some stunning and unusual flowers which are all named to provide inspiration - why not take a quick look?
This web page is still under development.
This stunning hardy tropical plant is native to East Asia and grows in my front garden, producing an abundance of showy flowers from mid summer to autumn.
This beautiful passion flower was photographed during a trip to Kew Gardens. It is an evergreen climber which will need to be grown under glass in the UK.
