Abutilon is another name for the plant sometimes called Callianthe and they are a flowering shrub in the Malvaceae family. Commonly known as Indian Mallow, they grow in many tropical and subtropical regions such as America, Africa, Asia and Australia. I have filmed several varieties of Abutilon although not all of them have been shown on my Youtube videos yet, here are some of the varieties I have filmed and their locations.
Abutilon Ashford Red was filmed in RHS Wisley and is shown in Part 3 of my series on Wisley's moist temperate zone.
Abutilon Canary Bird was filmed in Kew Gardens. This has not yet featured in a Youtube video.

Abutilon Savitzii was also filmed at RHS Wisley and shown in Part 4 of the series.
Abutilon Megapotamica was filmed at RHS Wisley. during the Wisley Flower Show 2024 and although plant information has not been provided, it can be seen on my Floral Highlights of 2024 video.
Abutilon Souvenir De Bonn was also filmed at RHS Wisley during the 2024 flower show, but has not yet been shown in my videos.
Various unnamed Abutilon varieties have also been filmed at Butterfly World (which featured in my '5 Tropical Gardens on the Isle of Wight' video, and also in the Eden Project Mediterranean Zone.
